You Don’t Have to Live with Discolored Teeth
When your pearly whites are not so pearly or white, you may look ragged, worn down, and older than your years. You may think that staining and discoloration is just part part of getting older, but it may actually be due to what you eat and drink. Extrinsic refers to staining of the outer layer of the teeth, or the enamel. The following are common culprits in extrinsic staining:
- Cigarettes and chewing tobacco
- Coffee and tea
- Soda and sports drinks
- Wine (including white wine)
- Dark-colored berries
- Tomato-based sauces
